Pictures, finally

I took these awhile ago and uploaded them to Facebook.  Why not here?  Simple.  Lazy is the answer.  But here they are:

The sign at my hotel in Bangkok.  I had a chuckle, then I noticed all of the old European guys toting a 20 something Thai girl around to the bars and such.  Maybe this sign means something after all.

I took this picture not long after I got to Kat's.  We laughingly called it "Bree's first night in Chumphon."  Turns out it was more like "Bree's first five night in Chumphon."

The same view on a much nicer day.

The "backyard."

The beach nearby.  It was actually kind of cloudy and grey that day.  I still got sunburned to hell and back on the ride to and from the beach.  As it turns out, even if you can use SPF 15 in the US, SPF 30 does not cut it here.

More beachy goodness with, um, some landmass there.  Could be an island, could be a little jutting out point of the mainland.  Who knows.

Little huts at the edge.  I'm reasonably certain they're a restaurant's tables.  You get your own little private hut on the beach, where you can stare at beach dogs digging holes.  Very romantic.  Kat and I didn't eat there, we ate at the Pirate's Cove, which has a really decent breakfast menu.  Neither of us ended up ordering breakfast.  Lol.

Well, that's all for now.  I'm headed off to Koh Tao on the night boat tonight.  We'll see what sort of shenanigans come up there.  It's awful touristy.

  1. Ah, a sign should take care of that pesky prostitution problem. Yup. Looks good. That should fix it.
